Through Dedicated Community Leadership the corporation is a source for Hunger Relief, Employment Services, Literacy Services, Community Equity, Civil Justice, Environmental Safety and Community Beautification.

Hunger Relief:  Through our Backpack Buddy and Locker Mate programs we provide children from low-income households with six nutritious kid friendly meals and four healthy snacks for the weekend when free school lunches and breakfasts are not provided. Our Food Basket Program works with local food pantries to provide food items to families and individuals in need of assistance.

Employment (GO):  The purpose of the General Opportunities (GO) program is to provide employment and training services to help residents of Hoke county obtain long term employment. To achieve employment goals an individual’s job readiness will be assessed, and then paired with an employment coach.

Campers Program (Equity):  The Rockfish Community Equity Programs support low-income youth in grades K-5 by providing up to four (4) scholarships to area summer camps, thus giving an opportunity to those children who would otherwise be unable to attend and benefit from the enrichened environment of a structed summer experience of activities that include swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, archery, drama, dance, music and much more.

Literacy:  The Rockfish Chamber provides up to two (2) small scholarships to graduating Hoke County seniors who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and complete the application process. We support and are affiliated with the Friends of the Library of Hoke County.
